Portland, Oregon, produced a surprise for Evelyn MacPherson.

She was not at all pleased to see drugs left in her yard. According to the Western Journal, she found that drugs were left in her garden even though the mother of seven has no connection to drugs.

She spoke with KOIN-TV and said the following:

"I don't feel good about raising my kids here anymore."

She indicated that she found fentanyl pills in her garden and had to call the police to determine what the drugs even were in the first place. She didn't know that that's what these pills were, and she certainly had no intention of allowing these pills to become a part of the life that she created for her children. She felt that it is unfair and unreasonable for her to work as hard as she has to keep her family away from the dangers of drugs.

She told the TV station the following:

"I couldn't even believe this is in my yard, where my kids play. They were just out here playing on the trampoline yesterday. What if … what if my curious 6-year-old had picked it up, what if my 8-year-old picked it up?"

She appeared on Fox & Friends to talk about what she found and why she felt it was so troubling. She said the following about her reaction to what she found:

"They're forcing me … out of my home … I grew up down the street from here. My parents still will live five blocks from right here, and I don't get to live close to my parents and feel safe, so it's pretty disappointing."

She made it clear that she knew how the drugs ended in her yard. She is unsure and did not name or accuse anyone directly, but she has feelings about how the drugs likely got there. She wants everyone to know that if something like this could happen to her family, it could happen to anyone.

She also said the following about it:

"We're in between two busy streets and there's a lot of drug trafficking that goes on between those areas, and we've had a lot of camping. We're pretty close to the freeway, unfortunately, and so there is a lot of camping around us."

She concluded that she would have to move her children out of Portland.
