The Blaze reports that Fauci is going after Trump for his supposed "anti-China" rhetoric while defending China for its "zero-COVID" policies.

Fauci is the outgoing Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and President Biden's leading medical advisor. However, he is also doing everything within his power to cover up for things that China has done to its people, and in some respects, to the world.

It is a fact that the COVID-19 virus originated in China, and it is also true that it needs to be clarified how it began. However, the fact that it escaped from China's borders cannot be dismissed.

Fauci spoke on CBS's program "Face the Nation" and seemed to defend China's policies that have resulted in a lack of transparency about where they stand with COVID cases and other essential details.
Why anyone would feel that China deserves praise for something like this is beyond the understanding of most of us. However, Fauci found it appropriate to say the following on CBS:
WATCH FETTERMAN REACTING TO PROTESTS WAVES
"The Chinese — not necessarily the scientists that we know and we have dealt with and collaborated with productively for decades — but the whole establishment ... even when there's nothing at all to hide, they act secretive, which absolutely triggers an appropriate suspicion."

Fauci also said that the only way we can truly discover the origins of COVID is to work with China in a "non-accusatory way." This was a less-than-veiled hit on Trump and his approach to handling China.
Host Margaret Brennan noted that China is not cooperating with the Biden Administration on the origin of COVID question either. She made the valid point that the lack of cooperation from China has nothing to do with the kind of tone that the President has with them. Instead, it has everything to do with the fact that China wants to hide information about the virus.

All that Fauci could say in response to this was:
"I think that horse is out of the barn and they're very suspicious of anybody trying to accuse them."
This was a feeble response to valid criticism of his opinions about the White House's approach to the COVID question's origins. Fortunately, Fauci won't officially speak for the US government in any capacity soon.
