There are plenty of lessons to be learned from the midterms of 2022, and one of them revolves around the use of the term "election denier."

Anyone who watched coverage of the results was sure to hear pundits repeat that specific MAGA candidates were "election deniers." This was thrown at them as a near slur about their opinion of the 2020 election. The term was meant to shame these candidates and paint them as extremists. However, it is attractive to many that the term is used exclusively for candidates with questions about the 2020 election.

What Democrats and their supporters in the media would like for you to forget is how their candidates began denying the results of elections in both 2016 and 2018. We all remember how Democrats jumped into hyperdrive following the results of the 2016 election.

They began the witch hunt for information about how Russia could be connected to the Trump campaign and how this might have put him over the top in that election. In the end, they found nothing.

Then, in 2018, Democrat star Stacey Abrams lost a close election in Georgia. Brian Kemp, the candidate who became governor of Georgia, won the election by approximately 3%. However, Abrams refused to concede the race. Democrats like to breeze over the fact that Abrams lost to Kemp in 2022, this time by a more significant margin. This truly set the table for candidates to question the legitimacy of election results.

What the Left has done to limit the use of the term "Election Denier" only to those with questions about 2020 is indeed telling. They don't want to address the issues within their party, so they stay on the sidelines when speaking about election deniers.

Plenty of people on the political Left have denied the results of elections they didn't like. The entire Trump presidency seemed to be an effort by Democrats to remove the legitimacy of the duly elected President. The fact that they now want to sling the term at the feet of Republicans is genuinely absurd.
