You never know what Kanye West is going to do anymore.

Just last month, he was booted off Twitter for posting a tweet claiming he was going “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.” The block came for allegedly violating Twitter’s policies, according to Deadline.

Elon Musk did Ye and others who were booted from the platform a favor and began reinstating their accounts. President Donald Trump was also among those welcomed back to the popular social media platform.

Ye said, “Testing Testing Seeing if my Twitter is unblocked” in his first tweet. Elon Musk replied to him, saying, “Don’t kill what ye hate, Save what ye love,” in what appears to be a play on Ye’s moniker.

It was already pretty clear that Musk would allow Ye back on Twitter. As he was nearing the deal to purchase the platform, the billionaire said, “Welcome back to Twitter, my friend!” in response to Ye posting a message about his Instagram ban. West included an old picture of him with Mark Zuckerberg and asked, “how you gone kick me off Instagram.”

Ye’s social media troubles stem from the anti-Semitic tweet he posted. The controversial tweet also caused major brands, such as Balenciaga, JP Morgan, and Adidas, to cut ties with the rapper.

It doesn’t seem like Ye’s Twitter account will be any different than before. Since his return to the platform, he posted a simple message that said “Shalom,” which some took as questionable, notes the DailyCaller.

Elon Musk’s decision to reinstate Ye’s account, as well as the accounts of President Trump and some other controversial figures, may be the breath of fresh air the platform needs. It will be interesting to see how things unfold at Twitter in the upcoming months.
