So, they ran for the school board. Within hours, they took action. Not only did they run, but they also won. Now, they are making sure that they honor their campaign promises.

The Western Journal says, “Within the first two hours of their first meeting upon being sworn in, the board fired school superintendent Deon Jackson, dumped District in-house counsel Tiffany Richardson, banned any part of the CRT curriculum they could find, and launched a committee to evaluate whether certain books in District libraries were age-appropriate, NBC News reported.”

The group of parents had some help throughout their campaign from a group called Moms for Liberty. Moms for Liberty went against many left-wing agendas before the midterms. The Western Journal says, “NBC noted that Moms for Liberty endorsed more than 500 school board members across the county, and they achieved an astounding 49 percent success rate.”

People were originally up in arms that the first black chairman was fired, but another man of the same race replaced him. However, many are critiquing the new school board and its decisions. The Western Journal says, “Local liberals also criticized the new majority for banning CRT, a move that the left-wingers claimed was a sham because there is no CRT curriculum in the school in the first place. They also claimed that a committee to review library books is unnecessary because there are already rules to guide the purchase of books for the schools.”

However, the new school board isn’t falling for it. A committee will ensure that pornographic material is not allowed around children in the District. This isn’t the only District that is seeing an overhaul due to outraged parents and Moms for Liberty. Florida school districts are also seeing new members. It’s about time we see parent-friendly agendas and people cleaning the house.
