Change In Priorities: "Rally For Life" Cancelled As Abortion Focus Is Taken To Individual States

The issue of abortion was once a national issue, but the Supreme Court’s ruling against Roe v Wade turned the matter into something that each state must decide.

And as a result of the court ruling, The Archdiocese of Washington, D.C., changed its national Youth Rally and Mass into a state function.

Wilton Cardinal Gregory is the archbishop of the church. He pointed out that consulting the other dioceses has shifted the focus on preserving life from a national issue to a state-level matter.

Just the News reported that Gregory stated, “During this consultation process, we heard from many dioceses who shared that they are turning their efforts to their state’s March for Life now that Roe v. Wade has been overturned. We certainly support their local work and pray for their success.”

The matter of life has been an issue for decades. Liberals believe that the unborn do not have a right to life and the matter should be left up to the mother. But the truth is that an unborn human has the right to live without being put to death for being innocent.

Just the News also reported that the archdiocese stated, “As difficult a decision as it was to cancel, we encourage groups traveling to Washington, D.C. to participate in the National March for Life at the National Mall and to attend the Vigil Mass at The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.”

Democrats hated that the Supreme Court ruled to return the issue of abortion to the people. They loved forcing people to accept their notion that the unborn cannot choose to live on their own. They do not believe a child is human even before it takes its first breath of fresh air outside the womb. Luckily, unborns now have the right to live because Republicans are changing things for the better.
