Gisele Fetterman is the wife of Senator-elect John Fetterman and is known for having campaigned to defund the police.

Some people have noticed that her husband's campaign website had all mentions of Black Lives Matter (BLM) wiped from the site during the campaign. The Senator-elect seemed too risky to leave up information about BLM on his website, but his wife is still pushing hard for extremist positions on police reform.

At one point, the Fetterman campaign website had said:

"John served as mayor of a city that's more than 80% Black and has championed the idea that Black lives matter long before it became a hashtag."

According to reports from the New York Post, that was removed back in September. They noted that the campaign had taken down all mention of BLM and was not put back up on the website before the campaign ended.

Gisele Fetterman doesn't seem to have backed away from her position on defunding the police. She was pictured with Kamala Harris' niece, Rep. Pramila Jayapal, among others. These are individuals who have expressed interest in the position of defunding the police as well. Thus, it doesn't seem like Gisele is interested in changing her mind or not talking about this idea as much because her husband's campaign might prefer that she did.

Mrs. Fetterman and her husband have both been big advocates for criminal justice reform. The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections stated that Mrs. Fetterman wanted to be the warden of a men's prison since she was a child. That influenced her feelings about criminal justice from a young age.

She expressed support for President Biden's pardon of those who committed federal offenses for non-violent possession of marijuana. She spoke about how she feels that the cannabis laws in the United States specifically target minority racial groups.

Now, Mrs. Fetterman stands under a bigger spotlight than she did before. Her husband is the new Senator-elect from Pennsylvania, so he will have a bigger platform to express his ideas.
