President Joe Biden sent the money to Afghanistan after he pulled out of the country and let the Taliban takeover.
One watchdog organization, the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction, had taken oversight of the $146 billion projects to rebuild the war-ravaged country. But for the first time since the oversight organization’s founding, Biden’s administration refuses to comply with investigations.

The Washington Free Beacon reported that the organization stated, “SIGAR, for the first time in its history, is unable this quarter to provide Congress and the American people with a full accounting of this U.S. government spending due to the non-cooperation of U.S. agencies.”

The organization also included that the watchdog added that “the Treasury Department refused to cooperate with SIGAR in any capacity, while the State Department was selective in the information it provided pursuant to SIGAR’s audit and quarterly data requests.”
