She has been asked multiple times why she is not opting for a debate with her challenger Republican Kari Lake. The liberal candidate has dodged the question so often that people are scratching their heads, wondering what is wrong with her.
On “CNN This Morning,” Hobbs was asked by Don Lemon, “I want to talk to you about debating. Why not debate your opponent? If you believe your opponent is, you know, has issues in spreading conspiracy theories about a stolen election and so on, and is not being truthful with the people of Arizona, why then not get on the debate stage and debate her?” As reported by Breitbart.
Hobb’s response was cryptic. She stated, “You know, not only is Kari Lake, has she centered her entire platform around this election denialism, I didn’t want to give her a bigger stage to do that. But additionally, she has shown that she’s not interested in having any kind of substantive conversation. She is on creating a spectacle.”

Lemon pointed out that Hobbs could try and make her case and beat Lake in a debate. But for some reason, Hobbs seems to be scared of Lake.

Lemon went on to press Hobbs into the corner, where she admitted, “Look, we are six days out from this election, and our campaign strategy is our campaign strategy. We are moving forward. I’m continuing to make my case to the voters of Arizona. Whether or not we debate in this race, we made a decision, didn’t want to be a part of her spectacle.”
Lemon got her to admit that she was not going into a debate because she knew Lake would be victorious. Liberal issues are not popular with mainstream America, and all liberals are trying very hard to dodge the issues.
