Democratic Rep. Vincente Gonzalez’s campaign paid a blogger to share racist remarks about former President Obama and possibly Gonzalez’s Republican Latino female opponent in the Congressional race.

As per Fox News, Juan Montoya of El Rrun Rrun’s blog brought the racist comments to light when he revealed a fellow blogger’s remarks by posting them to his blog. Montoya points out that blogger Jerry McHale made numerous racist and sexist remarks through his blog targeting GOP Rep. Mayra Flores, who is working on winning the Latino vote in Texas and running against Gonzalez.

Years ago, McHale’s alter personality Dr. G.F. McHale-Scully blogged derogatory comments about former President Obama, calling him the “N” word.

According to Fox News, the campaign paid the blogger at least twice and counted the expense as “advertising services.”

The ads for Gonzalez’s campaign remain active on Montoya’s blog. Fox reports that Federal Election Commission records show that Montoya received at least two different payments from the Gonzalez campaign for “advertising services.” He received a payment of $1,000 in October 2021 and $1,200 in June 2022.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Montoya admits that Gonzalez paid for an ad. Montoya describes McHale as a “shock and awe” type of guy. In a statement to Fox, the Gonzalez campaign claims they “already cut ties with the author of this post.” Additionally, the language used in the blog post is “abhorrent.”

McHale’s blog, The McHale Report, previously stated several racist and sexist remarks about Flores, who will compete with Gonzalez in the November 8 election to represent Texas’ 34th Congressional District. However, when Fox asked, McHale claimed the blog is “satire.”

In a June 18 post by McHale, he wrote of a conversation with a friend:

“Maclovio O’Malley, la Voz de los Vatos, who wants me to put an ad for Vicente Gonzalez in front of my businesses, although I have to admit that I would risk my relationship with lovely Amanda for a night with Mayra Flores, says that the Oyster Bar food smells like rotten p**sy. And I have had more than my share of rotten p**sy that I don’t want to endure that culinary catastrophe again.”

Flores responded to the posts and accusations that the Gonzalez campaign was behind them. She told Fox News Digital that hiring the blogger to attack her Hispanic heritage and sexually degrade her is “truly sick.”
