Endless Censorship: YouTube Muzzles Italian Prime Minister Elect

In 2019, Giorgia Meloni made a speech at the World Congress of Families that clearly defined her stand on global elitists who attack the family, national identity, and gender identity.

Her speech made its way to YouTube, where, according to Breitbart, it had remained active for viewers until recently, when the company’s powers determined the video “breached” the guidelines set for the community after three years.

On September 26, 2022, Meloni, who headed the far-right nationalist Brothers of Italy party, was elected Prime Minister of Italy. She is the first far-right activist to lead the Italian government since World War II.

Her 2019 speech had “viral” status across multiple platforms, including YouTube.

A portion of her original speech provides insight into Prime Minister Meloni’s views. The following is a partial transcript of her remarks removed from YouTube and reported by Breitbart and Louder With Crowder:

“Why is the family an enemy? Why is the family so frightening? There is a single answer to all these questions: Because it defines us ‘because it is our identity ‘because everything that defines us is now an enemy for those who would like us ‘to no longer have an identity and to [simply] be perfect consumer slaves.’

And so they attach national identity, they attack religious identity, ‘they attack gender identity, they attack family identity. I can’t define myself as Italian, Christian, a woman, mother. No. I must be citizen x, gender x, parent 1, parent 2. I must be a number.

Because when I am only a number, ‘when I no longer have an identity or roots, then I will be the perfect slave at the mercy of the financial speculators—the perfect consumer.

That’s the reason why we inspire so much fear. That’s why this event inspires so much ‘fear because we do not want to ‘be’ numbers. We will defend the value of the human being. Every single human being.”

She ended the speech with a clear message:

“Chesterton wrote, more than a century ago, ‘Fires will be kindled to testify that two and two make four. ‘Swords will be drawn to prove that leaves are green in the summer.’ That time has arrived. We are ready. Thank you.”

So far, YouTube has not shared any explanation of violations or breaches of community guidelines in the video.
