Democrats believe capital punishment should not be allowed, while Republicans maintain that it is correct when someone takes another’s life.
Eugene Miller was an inmate in Alabama waiting for his time to be put to death for the murder of three people. The fight to save Miller’s life made its way to the Supreme Court, where in a vote of 5-4, the High Court decided that the execution could take place.
The issue that has everyone up in arms is that part where Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett would side with three liberals and vote against the execution. Barrett has a record of voting against the death penalty in other cases. But everyone expected her to vote along party lines.

Democrats are known to vote along party lines no matter the case. They are conditioned to support their leaders at all costs. But Barrett’s decision shows that the Republicans are inclined to vote and uphold constitutional matters. Barrett proved that she would take each case one at a time.

The Washington Examiner reported that Miller’s execution would have to be rescheduled because they could not find an access point for lethal injection. The state of Alabama uses other execution methods, such as nitrogen hypoxia. But that method has never been used.

The liberal community is stunned that Barrett voted with their beloved liberal justices. They cannot fathom the moment. But Barrett believed that something about the case was violating Miller’s rights, and she was not in favor of moving forward.
But the court ruled that the execution could still occur, and Miller would face his fate at another time when the executioner could find a port of entry for lethal injection.
