Robert Redfield, former director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said the lab-leak explanation for COVID-19 is supported by evidence. The death threats started, and he has been deemed a conspiracy theorist.

Redfield alleges the real “conspiracy is Collins, Fauci, and the established scientific community,” according to Just the News.

He told Paul Thacker, a former Senate Finance Committee investigator, that Dr. Anthony Fauci knew he funded research that increases the danger of viruses and “misled Congress” when he denied the gain-of-function study.

In mid to late January, Redfield told Fauci of his concerns about the theory that the virus came from animals. Research showed it was not from bats. “This thing was manipulated,” he said.

The transmission did not make sense to Redfield. He said, “You have a virus that is one of the most infectious viruses in the history of humanity, and yet that virus no longer can infect the bat?”

In 2021, Redfield defended his theory of the lab leak on CNN. Scientific Americans accused him of promoting a conspiracy theory based on anti-Asian hate. Redfield suspected Fauci’s influence on the publication may have factored into the accusations.

“I was threatened; my life was threatened,” said Redfield. “I have letters I got from prominent scientists that previously gave me awards, telling me that the best thing I could do for the world was to shoot myself because of what I had said,”

According to Zero Hedge, last week on Fox News, Senator Rand Paul accused Fauci of covering up his activities, such as encouraging social media entities to censor medical information. He said, “I think that all of America should be appalled that America’s doctor, the leading expert on COVID in public health, doesn’t want to divulge information, doesn’t want to divulge his communications with Big Tech.”

Paul added, “So we learned a lot of things, but I think we reconfirmed that Dr. Fauci is not being honest with us.”
