CNN's Latest Shakeup: Find Out Who Has Been Nixed From Show

New Day hosts will be out of the morning program as the show says goodbye. Many claims that this is because CNN is working towards a new ideologically central position instead of its reputation as a left-wing media channel.

The network has received backlash over anchors scrutinizing Biden’s actions or not talking trash about Trump. The CNN hosts relocating this time are Brianna Keilar and John Berman. Per The Washington Examiner, “Keilar recently tweeted with disapproval over Biden’s use of a dark-red background and U.S. Marines during his primetime speech last week.”

CNN claims that it’s simply trying to improve programming. Given the network’s poor ratings, that could make sense. Per The Washington Examiner, “‘There is no stronger combination of talent than Don, Poppy, and Kaitlan to help us deliver on our promise of a game-changing morning news program,’ Licht said in the press release.”

The Washington Examiner pointed out,” Changes to CNN’s programming have been frequent for the last few months. John Harwood left his position as CNN’s White House correspondent at the beginning of September. CNN canceled Brian Stelter’s Reliable Sources show in mid-August and let Stelter go after he had worked there since 2013. CNN legal correspondent Jeffrey Toobin also left the network in early August after 20 years.”

Although both anchors are sticking around CNN, it’s unclear what role they will play in the network. According to Fox News, “Details of Keilar’s next role were not made clear. She did not immediately respond to a request for comment. It is also unclear what Berman, beloved by rank-and-file CNN employees, will do next for the network. He regularly fills in for primetime hosts and is seen as a versatile anchor.”

Most thought those that leaned towards the liberal side would be gone with the new management team, but that hasn’t been the case. Instead, CNN keeps shaking things up to get more than twenty views. However, the network can’t seem to shake the liberal partisanship reputation it acquired during Trump’s time in the White House.
