These are innocent children and very complex issues. It’s not a teacher’s place to teach every life lesson to a child, and many seem incapable of doing so in a sensitive manner. For example, one teacher handed out a white privilege worksheet in a Connecticut classroom.
Per Fox News, “The worksheet states, ‘Racism is a systemic issue. If you look the other way or refuse to acknowledge that these systems exist, you are part of the problem.’”
Fox News explained, “vocabulary items on the worksheet included the terms ‘white privilege,’ ‘indigenous peoples,’ ‘transgender,’ ‘institutional racism,’ gender pronouns, ‘Latinx,’ and other controversial issues.”

Students and parents were angry. Per The Root, “parents gathered at the following school board meeting to argue. They declared these terms were ‘off the wall’ and seeing them again was ‘frustrating as hell.’”
Per The Root, “Resident Pat Tavalozzi went so far as to suggest classroom monitors be used ensuring teachers don’t impart the types of issues raised in the worksheet to their students.”

The school board handled the matter swiftly after parents brought it to their attention. Per Fox News, “‘To be honest, I was shocked. We weren’t even in the first week of school at this point, and a teacher passed this out to students of one particular class,’” Joseph Baczewski, vice chairperson of the Southington School Board, told Fox & Friends First on Wednesday.” He also stated, “It’s not part of our curriculum, so this was a teacher bringing it upon themselves to pass this out to students.”
UNIVERSITIES HAVE LOST THEIR WAY, ARE THEY THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM?
It’s wrong to push agendas on children. Children should be taught about society and have an extensive vocabulary to understand social issues. It’s not up to teachers to force their beliefs on our children. The best teacher is always the parent, and teachers need to understand that there are specific lessons best taught by parents instead of teachers and the government overreaching.
