DeSantis Gaining Major Ground With These New Conservative Flips

One of the burning issues that have parents of school students incensed is the transformation of public schools from centers of learning to vehicles of indoctrination.

From the teaching of Critical Race Theory to the promulgation of transsexual ideology, America’s public schools have become battlegrounds pitting parents against education bureaucrats for the souls of American children.

According to Breitbart, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis won a significant victory in the public-school wars by flipping several school boards up and down the state from liberal to conservative majorities. DeSantis took the example of Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, who won his race by advocating public education reform and supported slates of conservatives to take over several local school boards.

The school boards in the following communities flipped from liberal to conservative: Bay - Brevard - Clay - Duval - Flager - Hernando - Hillsborough - Martin - Miami-Dade - Okaloosa - Polk - Putnam – Sarasota,

According to Fox News, groups such as the 1776 Project PAC and Moms for Liberty joined DeSantis in support of candidates running for seats on local school boards. 1776 Project PAC founder Ryan Girdusky suggested that the victories in Florida will serve as a model for parents to take back the public education system nationwide.

“We saw massive election victories all throughout the state of Florida tonight. It shows the desire of parents and residents across the country for some normalcy in our education system, and that means pushing against transgender ideology, Critical Race Theory, critical gender ideology, and equity which destroys merit in education. The 1776 Project PAC hopes to take these successes across the country.”

Ironically, with all the misery they caused, the pandemic and the resulting lockdowns became the match that sparked the parents’ revolt.

When schools force children out of the classroom and into remote learning areas from home, many parents witnessed, for the first time, how schools taught their children questionable subjects. They did not like what they saw. Hence, parents across the country have taken their complaints to school board meetings and the ballot box.
