The misconduct of disgraced ex-New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and shunned ex-CNN anchor Chris Cuomo has reached a boiling point and is spilling over to their mother, Matilda, who has had her name removed from a program she founded.

Matilda Cuomo, 90, founded and oversaw the New York State Mentorship program when her late husband Mario was governor of the Empire State from 1987 to 1994.

Officials in New York state have removed Matilda's name from the website of the mentoring program after Andrew's sex pest allegations forced him to resign the governorship last August, sources told the New York Post.

“It's a sad day when politics has gotten so ugly that it would come down to removing the name of 90-year-old former First Lady Matilda Cuomo,” a close source told the Post. The program had initially ended after Mario Cuomo lost his run for a fourth term to George Pataki and went private under Matilda's guidance.

Andrew revived the program back in 2015 during his second term as governor of New York. According to its website, the program is “the nation's first school-based one-to-one mentoring program.” It claims to use a research-based model to match students with mentors in schools, courts, and the foster care system.

Matilda Cuomo, a former teacher, would mentor students herself. She was named the program's honorary chairperson when son Andrew brought it back. Sources told the Post that the program's website has not only wiped her name clean, but she has been fully removed from its advisory board.

In fact, the mentoring program's 'about' page acknowledges current Governor (and Andrew's former lieutenant governor) Kathy Hochul, but not Matilda.

“Here, a Democratic governor is not graceful enough to recognize the contributions of a wonderful woman,” the source stated. Allen Cappelli, a former employee of Mario Cuomo, called Mrs. Cuomo “an icon.” “Matilda should be acknowledged for her contributions to the state. The state should fix this mistake,” he added.

The state Office of Children and Family Services - which currently oversees the program - has said it plans to rectify Matilda Cuomo's omission from the site.

“We greatly appreciate Mrs. Cuomo's contributions to this program, and we are investing in updating and expanding the program to reach its full potential, including adding a new Latina Mentoring Program to help address pay equity and barriers to success,” spokesperson Jeannine Smith said. “This was an oversight, and we are addressing it now that it has been brought to our attention,” Smith pressed. The hits have just kept on coming from Cuomos in the past year.
