During an appearance on FNC's "Hannity" on Friday, Gabbard cautioned among those was a creeping "authoritarianism" from the Biden presidency.
"Well, what I see is people are struggling, and you can understand how people are frustrated and even angry at the fact that our government is failing us," she announced. "And one of the most disturbing things that I see coming out of this administration is how president Joe Biden has his attorney general targeting Americans as domestic terrorists for being, quote, unquote, 'anti-authority.'"
"And what is so extremely dangerous about this, Sean, is that the president of the United States is the authority here in America," Gabbard went on. "And so, if our president is targeting Americans for being, quote, unquote, 'anti-authority,' what they're really saying is you are an enemy of the state if you are against the president or his policies. This is the foundation of authoritarianism. And it's — the message that is received by people at home is if you're going to target me for being against your policies as the president, there will be consequences, and therefore what are people to do? Shut up, step back, and fall in line. And this — this is unacceptable in our democracy and must not go unchecked."

After Biden's speech in Georgia championing voting rights legislation this week, Gabbard labeled him as divisive.

She took aim at Biden after his speech on Tuesday, which was delivered in one of the states where Democrats state Republicans have rolled back voting rights due to legislation they denounce as adversely affecting people of color and the poor.

Gabbard shared a clip of Biden's address made on the grounds of Morehouse College, a historically African-American university, in which he called on people to "defend the right to vote, our democracy against all enemies foreign and yes, domestic."

Seeming to compare those opposing election reform to believers in racial segregation, Biden announced in the edited 33-second clip: "Do you want to be the side the side of Dr. King? Or George Wallace?"
"You want to be the side of John Lewis? Or Bull Connor," continued Biden as he pushed the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, aimed at ending voter suppression.

Gabbard tweeted: "Hillary's calling tens of millions of Americans deplorables was divisive & disgusting," referring to remarks made by the former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton at a 2016 campaign fundraising event about some supporters of Donald Trump.
