It's being formed by Indiana Rep. Jim Banks, who House Speaker Nancy Pelosi dismissed from the House Committee, according to Axios.
Sources cited in the report said Banks will also deliver a memo condemning Pelosi's January 6 panel as "illegitimate."
He's expected to publish details of the report in a House GOP conference call Tuesday after a probe that's being co-run by other lawmakers. Minority Leader McCarthy was nominated for the Committee, but Pelosi denied it.
The report doesn't name who they are, but in July McCarthy pulled all five of his picks -- Reps. Banks, Rodney Davis of Illinois, Kelly Armstrong of North Dakota, Jim Jordan of Ohio, and Troy Nehls of Texas -- after Pelosi refused Banks and Jordan.

Cheney and Committee Chair Rep. Bennie Thompson signaled shortly before the new year that their investigation was moving into a more public stage.

Rep. Adam Schiff of California, House Intelligence Committee chair, said during an interview with CBS on Sunday the select panel's public hearings could begin in a matter of weeks to months.
Thompson has said the Committee has heard from hundreds of witnesses and will deliver a brief report this summer, followed by a final document in the fall.

The Mississippi Democrat also said over the weekend that his Committee is looking into whether it can subpoena sitting members of Congress.
They've asked to hear from Jordan as well as Pennsylvania Rep. Scott Perry, who declined to come voluntarily.

In a letter to colleagues over the weekend, McCarthy accused Democrats of "neglecting" to defend the Capitol in a message reflecting on the one-year anniversary.
