CNN fired Chirs Cuomo for helping his brother navigate a crisis that threatened his position as Governor. Don Lemon sent text messages to Jussie Smollett tipping him off to the fact that the Police did not believe his story of a racially motivated attack by MAGA supporters. CNN fired Cuomo, why have they not done the same with Lemon?

Don Lemon is the second-highest-rated personality on CNN next to Cuomo. In fact, most of the network's ratings and notoriety came from the Cuomo and Lemon shows. After CNN fired their 'best' talent, one would think Lemon would not be far behind - however CNN seems to be sticking with him. Could it be the 'woke' network is excusing Lemon because he is a double minority? Openly gay and African American, Lemon checks all the boxes of an untouchable, someone who cannot be fired for whatever reason due to his blackness and gayness - at least that is how it appears to the outside observer.

Let's start from the beginning. Empire Actor Jussie Smollett, during his trial for faking an attack on himself blaming Donald Trump supporters, on Monday said that CNN host Don Lemon warned him Chicago police did not believe he was the victim of racist, homophobic attack, in what is believed to be just another example of the network's hosts using their clout and sources to help their friends.

Lemon, who is gay as well, is reported to have warned Smollett back in 2019 that Chicago Police Detectives were dubious about his story of being beaten in the middle of the night by two white men donning MAGA hats.

Smollett said at his trial that Lemon warned him that Chicago PD detectives had told him they didn't believe the story.

Lemon refrained from mentioning it on his show last night during a minutes-long segment with reporter Omar Jiminez, who had been present at the trial. Instead, the pair discussed the day's events almost in their entirety without mentioning the text Smollett claimed Lemon had sent him.

It comes less than one week after CNN fired Chris Cuomo, another primetime host, for advising his brother Governor Andrew Cuomo in his sex scandal, crafting statements for him, and using his journalistic sources to investigate some of his accusers.

CNN dragged its heels in disciplining Cuomo, despite a surge of public outcry, ahead of eventually firing him.

Lemon went on-air during the network's deliberations to describe Cuomo as one of the 'nicest people' he'd ever met.

On Monday evening, there was no comment from the network about what Smollett had testified.

Lemon is also being sued by a Hampton’s bartender who alleges that he rubbed his genitals then shoved his fingers in his face in 2018.

Yesterday, the bartender told FOX News that CNN is a “network rife with predators and perverts.”

Mention of him meddling in the Smollett investigation last year comes days after CNN fired Cuomo for his close involvement in his brother's sex pest scandal. Chris Cuomo has threatened to sue the network for $18 million, which he asserts remains on his contract.

He claims CNN's Jeff Zucker was wholly clued in on his role in his brother's strategy to fight the sexual harassment claims and that he is not being hung out to dry. Unnamed sources yesterday told The New York Post that the network has “no intention” of paying Cuomo out of his settlement.

“If he gets a settlement, there would be an uproar,” one person declared.
