The club has not confirmed that James tested positive, but he has been placed under the NBA's health and safety process, which means he is either infected or has been identified as a close contact of someone who is.
However, according to TMZ, James underwent three tests on Tuesday, two of which were positive.
'Test 1 (lateral flow) was positive. The 2nd (PCR) test was negative,' Michael Babcock of TMZ sent up a tweet.
'James was then given a 3rd tiebreaker test which came back positive. I'm told he's asymptotic at this time.
