Conservatives in his profession, according to country musician Jason Aldean, have been ignored and are hesitant to speak up for fear of being canceled.

"There are times when I feel like I don't have a choice but to speak up or say anything because I feel like nobody else in the industry or a lot of people in our industry, does that for fear," Aldean, 44, said on Audacy's "Rob + Holly" show on Thursday.

"I just feel like someone has to be that man, and if it happens to be me, that's good," he continued. "It's gotten to the point where you're not permitted to speak if you're a conservative in this company."

Brittany Aldean, Aldean's wife, received backlash in October after uploading images of herself and their children wearing anti-Joe Biden t-shirts. She also received flak after the 2020 presidential election for wearing a hoodie that read "STILL MY PRESIDENT" as former President Donald Trump was challenging the election results against Vice President Joe Biden.

"I have a lot of friends in this industry who think the same way I do, and a lot of them are extremely hesitant to speak out and say anything for fear of retaliation or whatever the case may be," Aldean added. He also stated that if he firmly believes in something and does not speak up about it, he has trouble sleeping.

"It's difficult for [me] to go to bed with a clear conscience at night, feeling like a coward for not speaking the things that I want to say or that I feel need to be spoken."

Jason Aldean and his family are actually wearing their political beliefs on their sleeves. Brittany Wicks, the singer's wife, and Kasi Rosa Wicks, his sister, have teamed up to produce a new range of right-leaning clothing items, which are now available for purchase via their online pop-up shop.

The outfits, however, will not be accessible for long, as Brittany reveals.

The clothing collection includes four unisex T-shirt and sweatshirt designs, all of which prominently feature well-known political slogans or variations on them. "Unapologetically Conservative" is written on a heather grey crewneck sweater, "Military Lives Matter" is written on a green long-sleeved T-shirt, and "Un-silent Majority" is written on a blue hooded sweatshirt. Finally, on the front of a gray tee, "We the People" is printed in small lettering, while the reverse of the shirt says, "This is our f—-ing nation."

The family also faced backlash in the comments area, but Aldean soon defended their political beliefs and actions. Following that, he posted a photo of himself in front of an American flag with the message, "I will never apologize for my convictions or for my love for my family and country."
