Former President Trump supported MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell's plan of melting down voting machines from last year's election

Lindell has been one of biggest supporters of Trump's voter fraud claims regarding the 2020 election.

The two spent 35 minutes addressing the election in an interview posted to Lindell's media channel.

Lindell explained to Trump, who was dressed in a tuxedo as if on his way to dinner at Mar-a-Lago, where the interview was conducted, that anyone who had proceeded from the 2020 election was "saying that you're OK" with the results.

"I have said we're going to melt down machines and use them into prison bars," Lindell announced.

Trump responded: "That's very interesting. That's a very good idea."

Lindell has previously suggested the machines be used to make bars or prison trays.

Dominion Voting Systems sued for $1.3 billion over his repeated allegations that its voting machines were somehow to blame for election fraud.

The 60-year-old businessman is one of many Trump allies being sued, including Rudy Giuliani.

Lindell has launched other ideas, including that the result would be overturned and the former president would be reinstated in August.

Thus far, both men have failed to accept that Joe Biden and the Democrats won last year's vote with dignity.

"I want to say, back to the election in 2020, I want to thank you, and everyone does, for standing firm on that," announced Lindell.

"You've given strength to millions of people."

He announced he was planning a 96-hour livestream over Thanksgiving to assist and "save our country."

Trump used the opportunity to revisit his familiar complaints.

"Well, all you have to do is take a look at some of the reports that have come out since all of that," he announced. "These elections were incredibly dishonest."

His words will resonate with a big chunk of Republican voters.

Almost one in three still thinks that former President Donald Trump will be reinstated before the end of the year, according to a survey issued this week.

The Economist/YouGov survey was carried out between November 6 and 9 and surveyed 1,500 Americans and discovered that 28 percent of respondents thought it is possible or very likely that Trump would return to power before the year was out.

That is an improvement from 22 percent the month before.

It implies that far from fizzling out, the "big lie" that Trump was unfairly robbed of election triumph and will be returned to the White House is getting stronger.

Roughly 13 percent of Republican respondents announced it was "very likely" Trump will be reinstated, with 15 percent stating it was "somewhat likely."
