Apparently, Eric Clapton seriously thinks that it is within his power to change the world, or, as a bare minimum, change the world’s perception of COVID-19 vaccines.

As reported by the press, the 76-year-old musician, who is known to continuously castigate the vaccines in recent months, has now decided to financially assist an anti-vax band.

Apparently, Eric Clapton donated as much as £1,000 ($1,360) to British rock band Jam For Freedom via a GoFundMe set up in order to help pay for legal fees the musicians incurred after ‘breaching COVID regulations’ at one of their concerts.

Recently, while the pandemic is still raging all over the world, Jam For Freedom has been taking part and arranging performances across the UK, aiming to attack the COVID vaccines using their songs. For example, here’s the lyrics of one of their compositions:

“You can stick your poison vaccine up your arse.” One of the founders and a current member of Jam For Freedom, Cambel McLaughlin, reported to the press he thought he was being pranked, when he discovered that they received the money directly from Eric Clapton, so he made a decision to send an email to an account associated with the donation. He says:

“I’m like, ‘This could be fake.'” Yet, the reply followed, and according to Cambel: “It was something complimentary, along the lines of, ‘Hey, it’s Eric — great work you’re doing.'”

The musicians then had a conversation over the phone, and, supposedly, Clapton agreed to lend Jam For Freedom a six-person VW Transporter van so that the band could drive around to gigs.

In accordance with what McLaughlin has said, after that Eric Clapton gave the rockers ‘a chunk of money’ to purchase their own van right away.

Jam For Freedom’s Instagram account demonstrates a picture of Eric Clapton cosying up to McLaughlin. The post is captured with the words of gratitude:

“THANK YOU @ericclapton for lending us your bus to continue our tour. We WILL continue your legacy of live music!”

Eric Clapton himself has not yet publicly confirmed the mentioned interaction. Yet, the story is more than believable, since the singer has been recently making headlines for publicly criticizing the coronavirus vaccine.

For instance, in May, Clapton claimed that he suffered a ‘disastrous’ reaction to the AstraZeneca shot. Well, he is still alive, isn’t he? So, how ‘disastrous’ are we talking about here? Eric said:

“My hands and feet were either frozen, numb or burning, and pretty much useless for two weeks, I feared I would never play again.” The musician also said that he ‘should’ve never gone near the needle’ because of his ‘peripheral neuropathy,’ yet ‘propaganda said the vaccine was safe for everyone.’

Clapton says: “I continue to tread the path of passive rebellion and try to tow the line in order to be able to actively love my family, but it’s hard to bite my tongue with what I now know.”
