Border Expert Claim Biden 'Emboldened' Cartels And Smugglers

National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd claimed the Biden administration has "emboldened" cartels at the southern border after armed cartel members reportedly mocked members of the Texas National Guard. Judd performed on "Fox & Friends First" on Thursday to discuss the border crisis, saying crime along the border will proceed to increase unless the Biden administration will crack down on relieving the chaos. BRANDON JUDD: "Those images are disturbing, and I hope that they disturbed the viewers at home. But to law enforcement like myself, it's not surprising. My agents and I understand that these cartels are in it for a profit. They understand exactly what's going on with politics here in the United States. [tweet_embed] October 6, 2021[/tweet_embed] "They understand the mood of the American public, and they understand that with the Defund the Police movement, with all of the talk about getting rid of law enforcement and vilifying law enforcement, that they've been emboldened. They know that they can get away with things that otherwise they would have never been able to get away with. That's why it's so important that the Biden administration step up, and understand that the crime is going to continue to ramp up unless they do something. Implement the policies that are necessary to keep the American public safe," He concluded. A few weeks back, in an op-ed, Brandon Judd condemned the administration regarding the U.S-Mexico border handling: "It is in America, and it is on the soil of the greatest country and beacon of democracy in the world. Or are we anymore? [tweet_embed] October 6, 2021[/tweet_embed] "I would argue we still are, but President Biden and the hard left with their constant attacks on law enforcement and the rule of law are certainly challenging my optimism," he wrote. "In a desperate and pathetic attempt to deflect blame for the raging crisis at our border, which they alone caused, the Biden administration attacked its own Border Patrol agents." He then directed his lashes towards Vice President Kamala Harris: "Vice President Kamala Harris also weighed in before an investigation could take place by insinuating Border Patrol Agents aren’t law enforcement officers and shouldn’t lay hands on someone even when they are refusing to follow lawful commands. All lies, but the truth doesn’t serve the administration." [tweet_embed] October 6, 2021[/tweet_embed] Mr. Judd said the Border Patrol is surging agents to the U.S.-Mexico boundary, pulling them off regular duty stations at the northern border or highway checkpoints in Arizona to help out closer to the line. That means the agency is so overwhelmed that it can’t handle its duties without those changes — thus, a crisis. “If you were to ask me today, right now … ‘Are we in a crisis? Are our resources overrun?’ I would say yes,” Mr. Judd told The Washington Times.
