On Friday, superstar Rihanna was snapped in New York City wearing a white t-shirt with the phrase "think while it's still legal" on the front.

The shirt is part of the Vetements' Fall/Winter 2021 collection, and retails for around $450 on numerous high fashion websites. Photos of Rihanna in the shirt were received by the Daily Mail.

Guram Gvasalia, the chief executive of the Paris-based label talked with Vogue earlier this year about the season's collection.

"Speaking on Zoom from Zurich, Gvasalia said, yes indeed: The background in the opening section of the 165-page lookbook for this Vetements collection is intended as a general reflection of 'the hell we're all living through,'" wrote Vogue.

Also included in the collection is a turtleneck with the phrase "mainstream" crossed out to denote "no mainstream," and "a skinny sweater dress and a man's turtleneck which have blue streaks knitted into them: the color, he noted, of the paint that Hong Kong police sprayed on democracy protesters last summer," wrote Vogue.

Rihanna's shirt presented a similar opinion stated by Nicki Minaj in recent weeks.

The Minaj saga, which exploded earlier this month following her absence from the Met Gala, was a result of her saying she did not attend because she does not want to get the COVID-19 vaccination at this moment, a requirement to attend the star-studded event.

"They want you to get vaccinated for the Met. If I get vaccinated it won't be for the Met. It'll be once I feel I've done enough research. I'm working on that now. In the meantime my loves, be safe. Wear the mask with 2 strings that grips your head & face. Not that loose one," Minaj said in a tweet earlier this month.

In another tweet, Minaj used an example of a family member to express what has made her pause on the vaccine.

"My cousin in Trinidad won't get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you're comfortable with ur decision, not bullied," Minaj said.

Minaj's remarks on the vaccine received criticism from the left and leaders, but her comments on doing your own research and to not get bullied into making a decision received praise from the right.

"But it's not anything to do with the physical effect of the vaccine that makes our political class mad, it's the last part of Nicki Minaj's tweet that enrages them. The part where she says "you should pray on it, make the decision yourself like a free human being and don't be bullied." So our media and public health officials didn't like this because they make their living bullying people. So they couldn't let it stand!" Tucker Carlson said.
