"We don't see it that way," Psaki said, before saying the dust-up with France regarded Australia seeking the superior nuclear submarine technology of the United States. "They're displeased about that, but we have a long-abiding friendship with them that's going to endure."

While King stated the overall Afghanistan departure, she didn't explicitly cite the recent botched U.S. drone strike that killed 10 civilians and no ISIS-K terrorists. Biden has called for a full probe into the fatal accident.
Psaki was touched on the "dysfunctional" U.S. relationship with China, as defined by United Nations Secretary General António Guterres, a term the spokeswoman also denied.
