Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) with no proof said on CNN Saturday that the Capitol Hill riot on Jan 6 was "organized" by the Trump campaign, another wave of shots against the conservative community, and on one of the biggest firms concerning the news.

In a television broadcast on CNN, the California congresswoman hit the GOP's opposition to the Jan. 6 commission that was selected to review those involved in the federal breach. "Where did the money come from to send busloads of people in? Who supported them in all of this. Where was the organizing taking place?" she asked on-air. Waters then said to CNN anchor Jim Acosta that she was told: "there was organizing taking place right in the Trump campaign."

"And so if they really are concerned about why our Capitol was invaded, and why there was an insurrection, they would support a commission to find out. But they don't want to know, because too many of them side with them and support what they have done. And they are not going to call them to task for it," Waters said.

The House of Financial Services Committee chair called the scene in the nation's capital "outrageous," stating that Washington was "invaded by domestic terrorists, and they don't want to live up to it, and admit what took place."

"They call themselves patriots, but that speech that you heard me give on the floor—I challenged their patriotism. And I told them that they were not really patriots. And they're the ones who claim to be more patriotic than anybody else. But I'm going to keep challenging them, because they have joined in and support literally the fact that not only were we invaded, there was a noose that was hanging at the opening of the Capitol grounds, threatening to hang even the vice president at that time..." Waters concluded in the CNN section over the weekend.

The development of the Jan. 6 commission was established in the House in mid-May.

Senate Republicans then pressed the move in late May. Eventually, only six Republicans voted in favor of the commission's formation.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who rejected the commission's formation, stated: "I do not believe the additional, extraneous commission that Democratic leaders want would uncover crucial new facts, or promote healing."

Waters herself was blamed for inciting violence earlier this spring when she told BLM protestors to "get more confrontational" during the Derek Chauvin trial in Minneapolis.
