The terror group on Saturday denounced the Minnesota Democrat’s explosive tweet that linked the US and Israel to Hamas and the Taliban — bringing the ire of both Democrats and Republicans this week.
Omar “equated between the victim and the executioner,” Basem Naim of Hamas’ International Relations Office complained in a statement that took issue with her Monday post on Twitter.
“it is unacceptable to make such an unfair comparison, which contradicts basic norms of justice and international law,” Naim remained in a missive first reported by the Jerusalem Post.

But Naim also took efforts to advocate Omar, saying that “Hamas highly appreciates” her “support of … the just rights of the Palestinian people.”
"The Palestinian people have the right to resist the Israeli occupation with all means possible, including armed resistance. In this regard, we cite the anti-apartheid revolutionary Nelson Mandela’s famous saying: “It is always the oppressor, not the oppressed, who dictates the form of the struggle.” The resistance to the occupation by the Palestinian people over the past years is a legitimate and guaranteed right."

"Hamas, meanwhile, has offered several initiatives to avoid civilian casualties, the first of which was offered by Hamas founder Sheikh Ahmad Yassin and the last was presented by Hamas chief in Gaza Yahya al-Sinwar following the latest Israeli aggression on Gaza. All of these proposals were rejected by the Israeli occupation, which deliberately targeted civilians and civilian infrastructure, the last of which was the 11-day onslaught on Gaza."

Omar on Monday led to “unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban” in a tweet that denounced them all equally for “crimes against humanity.”

The comment set off an internal war among Democrats. A dozen Jewish House members slammed Omar on Wednesday, saying that comparing the US and Israel to terror groups was “as offensive as it is misguided.”
Omar lashed back in a dangerous Twitter dispute Thursday that accused her fellow Dems of “harassment” and of being “Islamophobic.” Her allies, including fellow members of “The Squad,” leaped to her defense. “Freedom of speech doesn’t exist for Muslim women in Congress,” tweeted Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) — as Omar issued a grudging mea culpa.
On Friday, nine House Republicans led by Staten Island-Brooklyn Rep. Nicole Malliotakis demanded “immediate and meaningful action” to kick Omar off the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
“We consider anything less to be a form of complicity,” the group said in a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — while Malliotakis decried Omar as “a liability to the United States of America.”
