Terror groups in the Gaza Strip threatened to turn Ashkelon “into hell” on Tuesday as they launched a massive volley of rockets at the southern Israeli city, wounding seven people — as the cross-border attacks have left 24 Palestinians dead, including nine children, according to reports.

The barrage came after a night of nearly incessant rocket fire on Israeli communities and as the Israel Defense Forces conducted strikes on more than 100 targets in the coastal enclave, the Times of Israel reported, citing military sources.

The so-called “Operation Guardian of the Walls” by the IDF continued a day after the major outbreak of violence erupted from Gaza, including rare rocket fire on Jerusalem amid riots in the Old City, the news outlet reported.
“I’m standing with the people of Israel who are coming under bombardment attacks, and condemn the Hamas terrorists,” Yang tweeted Monday night, in reference to the Islamist group that currently controls the Gaza Strip.

On Monday, Omar said in a tweet that “Israeli air strikes killing civilians in Gaza is an act of terrorism.”

For her part, Tlaib wrote that she was 7 years old when she first prayed at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, one of the holiest sites for both Muslims and Jews, where clashes took place between Palestinians and Israeli police.
“Israel attacks it during Ramadan. Where’s the outrage @POTUS?” she said in a tweet.

Stephen Miller, a former senior adviser of President Donald Trump, also applauded Yang, saying in a tweet that “@AndrewYang is exactly right, @IlhanMN is outrageously wrong.”
“The View” co-host Meghan McCain simply posted the hashtag “#YANGGANG!”
Meanwhile, people on the left side of the political spectrum lambasted Yang, including Bishop Talbert Swan, president of the Springfield, Massachusetts, chapter of the NAACP, Business Insider reported.
“The systemic oppression, institutional discrimination, and violent persecution of Palestinians are crimes against humanity. It is wicked, evil, and inhumane. Glad to know where you stand,” he wrote.
Former Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning, who served seven years of a 35-year prison sentence before President Barack Obama commuted her sentence, reacted to Yang’s tweet with a “Yikes.”
