Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made an intense case claiming those who really value life must support Planned Parenthood, noting "how many babies have been born" because of prenatal services proposed by the organization. As most know, planned parenthood is the largest Abortion provider in the country and many took to social media to skewer Cortez for her comments.

The New York Democrat further stated that she was a "Planned Parenthood" baby, as her mother relied on prenatal services given by Planned Parenthood before her birth. Many took that as an invitation to mock the progressive icon, musing that her mental acuity might have been impaired during 'a botched abortion procedure' - and some comments were unnecessarily cruel, even for the conservative eye. However, no matter how inappropriate, most pundits agree AOC brought the ridicule on herself with comments like this:

"If we want to talk about Planned Parenthood let’s talk about how many lives Planned Parenthood has saved. And how many babies have been born because of the prenatal care provided by Planned Parenthood," Ocasio-Cortez said. What she ignores is how many lives they have taken - a number that far exceeds the number of 'lives saved' as the congresswoman puts it.

"If we’re concerned about life, we don’t get to talk about anyone else … when we are upholding policies that kill people," she went on.

The provider offered a majority of its aids to sexually transmitted infections care and treatment -- more than 5.4 million. It likewise offered more than 2.5 million contraceptive services and nearby 600,000 cancer screenings, and care for miscarriages, among other services.

"I don’t want to hear a single person on this committee or outside of this committee talk about valuing life when they continue to uphold the death penalty, when they continue to support policies that disproportionately incarcerate and lead to the deaths of black men and people throughout this country and uphold an absolutely unjust medical system that exists for-profit that allows people to die because they can’t afford to live," Ocasio-Cortez.

“So if we are concerned about life we don’t get to talk about anyone else who’s not concerned about the whole spectrum of that when we are upholding policies that kill people,” she maintained.

Meanwhile, republican Idaho governor Brad Little signed a bill into law Tuesday outlawing abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected, which can take place as early as six weeks into pregnancy.

The legislation makes termination of pregnancy illegal if the fetus has grown a detectable heartbeat. It adds a “trigger” provision that needs a similar law to be upheld by a federal appeals court in order for the law to become effective.

“We should never relent in our efforts to protect the lives of the preborn,” Little wrote in a statement announcing the law’s signing.

“Hundreds and hundreds of babies lose their lives every year in Idaho due to abortion, an absolute tragedy. I appreciate Idaho lawmakers for continuing to protect lives by passing this important legislation, and I am proud to sign the bill into law today,” Little announced.
