Acosta then searched into a second news story that images of a children's book penned by Vice President Kamala Harris were seen at a migrant children's shelter in Long Beach, California.

"That tale from the border didn't just border on B.S. This was USDA grade-A bulls---, and the reporter who wrote the story resigned, claiming she was forced to make it up," Acosta said. "But the damage was done, pumped out over the airwaves at the bulls--- factory also known as Fox News."

Acosta went on to condemn Fox's Tucker Carlson as a "doctor of disinformation ... who sounds like he went to medical school at Trump University" for Carlson's idea that masks should never be worn outdoors, particularly by kids.
"Remember: Lies, big lies, can have terrible consequences," Acosta added.

Acosta, a regular critic of former President Donald Trump, has drawn controversy during his occupation at CNN. The anchor drew ridicule for publishing a photo getting his COVID-19 vaccine while wearing a shirt thought as "self-flattering," and he accused Trump of being a "threat" to the United States with the potential to lead a “fringe movement" going forward.

The chief domestic writer is often met with chants of "CNN sucks!" when covering GOP events.
At one time, Acosta responded to a crowd of hecklers gathering behind him as he was broadcasting live.

"And as this crowd is chanting that there are members of the press here who suck, I should also point out what also sucks — getting the coronavirus," he said.
