Jenner, an Olympic champion, explained that transgender athletes should not face off against biological girls because of the “question of fairness."
"This is a question of fairness. That's why I oppose biological boys who are trans competing in girls' sports in school," Jenner explained to TMZ. "It just isn't fair, and we have to protect girls' sports in our schools."
Some states have passed legislation to regulate whom transgender students can compete against in sports. Conservatives claim that letting transgender individuals who identify as female compete with biological girls and women would give them an unfair advantage, while Democrats claim that such a policy would separate and discriminate against transgender individuals.

Trans activists have claimed that gender identity, rather than sex, should be the determination for who is allowed into which sports teams -- and called such bans cruel and discriminatory.
Opponents have pushed back, saying that it would be unfair for males -- however they may identify -- to be allowed entry into sports intended for girls and women, considering the differences between male and female bodies.

Participation in sports has had a positive impact on countless young women, helping them to develop leadership skills and learn to work together as a team. Striving to be the best is the goal, and valuable opportunities can stem from the competition. However, these lessons and opportunities would be seriously endangered if transgender women are allowed to compete in girls' sports. Indeed, the entirety of women's athletics would be deeply imperiled.

The reason is obvious. Biological male athletes have an insurmountable physical advantage over biological female athletes. They have greater muscle mass,bigger and stronger bones, and larger hearts and lungs than women. Moreover, one new study shows that even after taking female hormones, transgender women athletes still enjoy at least a temporary physical advantage on the playing field.

There are 19 other states considering over 25 pieces of legislation that would in some way prevent transgender youths from getting unfettered healthcare, and there are more than 25 states considering over 30 similar bills, according to the American Civil Liberties Union.

President Joe Biden signed an executive order Jan. 20 directed on "preventing and combating discrimination on the basis of gender identity or sexual orientation" that declared, "Children should be able to learn without worrying about whether they will be denied access to the restroom, the locker room, or school sports."
