President Biden delivered his speech In congress As Expected Wednesday Evening. Biden hyped up his different spending bills as expected, he tried to convince millions of watchers and the few members of congress that attended that the bills are beneficial.

President Joe Biden boasted the significant green spending in his multi trillion-dollar infrastructure plan as a means to better compete with communist China on clean energy technologies.

“There is simply no reason why the blades for wind turbines can’t be built in Pittsburgh instead of Beijing,” Biden said during his first joint address to Congress on Wednesday night.

“There is no reason why American workers can’t lead the world in production of electric vehicles and batteries,” Biden added. “There is no reason. We have the capacity.”

Biden’s $2.3 trillion infrastructure plan, revealed last month, includes major funding to electrify transportation, eliminate carbon emissions from the power sector, and build up U.S. capacity to manufacture clean energy technology such as electric car batteries.

The bill seeks to deliver directly on several of Biden’s pledges during his campaign trail and in early on executive orders, including establishing a clean electricity standard to move toward carbon-free power by 2035 and electrifying the entire federal vehicle fleet.

The Biden administration has claimed the United States must act to curb its emissions and grow a clean energy industry to match massive investments China and other countries are making in green technologies. This is a tactic that they have been using to try and convince Americans who are fearful of China’s rapid growth.

Biden, during his remarks to Congress, boasted his infrastructure plan as a big job creator, using repetitive claims that the clean energy investments in the proposal will create millions of U.S. jobs.

Republicans, however, have raised reasonable alarm at pieces of Biden’s plan that they say would invest too heavily in climate change, which they do not consider traditional infrastructure. Republican lawmakers have also accused the Biden administration of threatening jobs by taking steps to restrict fossil fuel development in favor of renewable energy.

One of the very last remarks during the speech was Biden saying “we the people are the government.” This remark has brought up some questions on how Bidne thinks the country works and if he really understands the meaning of what ‘we the people’ means.

It has also brought some more legitimacy to republicans claims that Democrats and the leftist agenda think of themselves not as servants of the people, but as the people that need to be served.
