Vice President Kamala Harris and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a call Thursday amid the Middle Eastern ally's increasing pressure from Iran.

Earlier on Thursday, Israel's defense minister told Fox News that his people were renewing their plans to strike Iranian nuclear sites and were qualified to act independently. A few days earlier, Netanyahu had accused Iran of a strange explosion that impacted an Israeli-owned cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman last week.

The occurrence was just the latest to aggravate tensions between the two nations and began as Harris appears to be moving toward a vital position in foreign policy.

According to Politico, Harris is seeking to carve out a practice in foreign policy and is taking on contracts like solo meetings with foreign leaders.

She also played in the first mutual meeting of the new administration between Canada and the United States. Biden reportedly didn't do the same as vice president in the Obama administration.

She has spoken to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

In February, President Biden also spoke with Netanyahu about Iran and working to advance peace in the region.

According to Harris's office, she reaffirmed the U.S. dedication to cooperating with Israel and maintaining its security.

"Vice President Kamala Harris spoke today by phone with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, and underscored the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to the U.S.-Israel partnership," a release read."The Vice President emphasized the United States’ unwavering commitment to Israel’s security. She expressed strong support for Israel’s recent groundbreaking normalization agreements with countries in the Arab and Muslim world, and stressed the importance of advancing peace, security, and prosperity for Israelis and Palestinians alike."

A readout from the White House published on Monday showed that Harris took a call with French President Emannuel Macron, where she "expressed her commitment to strengthening bilateral ties."

"Vice President Harris and President Macron agreed on the need for close bilateral and multilateral cooperation to address COVID-19, climate change, and support democracy at home and around the world," the statement read. "They also discussed numerous regional challenges, including those in the Middle East and Africa, and the need to confront them together."

Though Biden knows many of the world leaders he will be dealing with from his tenure as vice president in the Obama administration, he likely has not dealt largely with Macron since he was elected in 2017.

It seems that Biden needs everything to be taken care of for him, maybe he is unfitting to be an active president on his own. The country chose Joe Biden as the President, not Kamala Harris.
