President Biden this week removed many executive orders issued by former president Trump, including one that called for a review of funding supplied to so-called "anarchist" cities.

Since taking office last month, Biden has canceled dozens of Trump orders and declared dozens more of his own as he has tried to target foundational aspects of former President Trump’s legacy and improve aspects of his own agenda without going through Congress.

In his latest effort, Biden launched an executive order on Wednesday night to undo the review, which was arisen in response to violent and even deadly riots that occurred in multiple cities.

Cities that were designated by the Department of Justice as anarchist added New York City, Portland and Seattle. The affected municipalities filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration over its efforts to deny federal funding.

Back then, the Department of Justice explained that these cities failed to take "reasonable measures to counteract criminal activities."

It cited statistics that revealed a 166% year over year rise in shootings in New York City for the month of August, 100 consecutive nights of chaotic protests in Portland and a 525% rise in person-related crime in Seattle’s "Capitol Hill Occupied Protest" (CHOP) zone.

Seattle city attorney Pete Holmes embraced the Biden revocation, stating that he was "glad to have this nonsense cleared from the decks."

Former President Donald Trump Trump, in his “Promoting Beautiful Federal Civic Architecture” drive, chanted that America’s forefathers “wanted public buildings to inspire the American people and encourage civic virtue”.

The reminder further stated that architects should look to “America’s beloved landmark buildings” such as the White House, the US Capitol, the Supreme Court, the Department of the Treasury, and the Lincoln Memorial, among others, for inspiration.

Another order removed was one the former president launched in the closing days of his presidency named the “Ensuring Democratic Accountability in Agency Rulemaking”. It called for limiting the ability of federal agency employees in making regulatory decisions.

Biden further removed a 2018 order that called for agency heads across the government to examine welfare programs — such as food stamps, Medicaid and housing aid — and strengthening work requirements for certain recipients.

Though, as expected, Biden underwent vast criticism on social media.

Not only about the many executive orders he removed, but about many other actions of the former president that he chose to cancel.

One user highlighted Biden’s actions thus far on Twitter: “President Biden’s first month: Schools closed, Keystone Pipeline canceled, Radical immigration bill introduced, Iran Deal coming back, Political rival impeached, Mexico City Policy rescinded, 1776 Commission scrapped.”

“But don’t worry. He’s a “moderate.”
