Rep. Matt Gaetz, a firm supporter of President Trump, said he will help with the congressional challenge to the results of the 2020 presidential election. Shortly after, democrats were calling for him to be disbarred using his calls for machine inspections as 'evidence'. What is odd is they are suing 'Sedition' which has nothing to do with his legal license as the excuse. It was a sad example of just how far some will go to destroy anyone associated with Trump and trying to expose the truth.

The Florida Republican, who is a critic of the extensive mail-in voting adopted during the pandemic, tweeted on Monday that he will assist fellow GOP lawmakers in both the House and the Senate to "OBJECT to electors from states that didn't run clean elections."

The bid to challenge President-elect Joe Biden's victory in Congress began with Rep. Mo Brooks, an Alabama Republican who this month announced his plan to flip the results of what he called a "stolen" election.

Gaetz adding his name gives the campaign more star power, but the Trump associates can not wish for success without at least one member of the Senate seeking the cause. Brooks seems to have that ally in Sen.-elect Tommy Tuberville, an Alabama Republican who said during a rally for Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue in Georgia that he would battle to "get [the election outcome] corrected."

These Republicans are set to put their plan in effect on Jan. 6, when the House and Senate hold a common session on the certification date days after the new Congress is seated. Their attempt to convince colleagues to reject contested Electoral College votes will be hard because Democrats held a slim majority in the House and, in the Republican-controlled Senate, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell dissuaded fellow GOP senators from following Trump's efforts to reverse Biden's win.

Still, the GOP attempt to examine and contest the election results drives on with more than a dozen House lawmakers joining Brooks is pressing House and Senate leadership to hold election fraud hearings before the Jan. 6 Electoral College vote submissions. As for now, Biden won 306 electoral votes to Trump's 232, and the popular vote count shows the former vice president leading by roughly 7 million votes.

Rudy Giuliani, the personal attorney to the president who was briefly sidelined by a bout of the coronavirus, praised a revised legal strategy on Saturday while asserting that the prosecution would proceed.

On Sunday, the Trump campaign filed an independent claim with the Supreme Court probing the outcome in Pennsylvania by declaring that three Pennsylvania Supreme Court rulings regarding adjustments to the state's mail balloting laws were wrongfully decided.

When asked about the effectiveness of the litigation, the former New York City mayor chuckled.

"We're not finished," he said. "Believe me."
