Officials in Fulton County, Georgia, announced that a Dominion Voting Systems mobile server crashed on Sunday, pausing the recount requested by President Trump.

"Technicians from Dominion have been dispatched to resolve the issue," Fulton County officials said in a statement. "The Georgia Secretary of State’s office has also been alerted to the issue and is aware of efforts to resolve the problem."

Fulton County officials said that a newly acquired Dominion mobile server crash was to charge.

Dominion, an advanced voting machine firm whose products are used in many states, has been the center of voter fraud allegations by Trump and his allies. Sidney Powell, an attorney from whom the Trump legal team distanced themselves in recent days, has a federal lawsuit claiming widespread voter scam in Georgia, and she insists that state officials, including Gov. Brian Kemp, were bribed to be part of a plot with Dominion to tip the election in President-elect Joe Biden's favor.

Dominion has vociferously denied "false assertions" of it being included in such a scheme, and Kemp condemned Powell's claims as "absolutely absurd."

Officials in Fulton, Georgia's most populated county that includes Atlanta, showed that most of the ballot-counting in the recount is finished and that it will continue on Monday morning. The recount must wrap up in counties all across the state by Wednesday.

The release from Fulton County followed a turbulent day in court. A federal judge directed all voting machines in Georgia not to be wiped until further notice in a lawsuit trying an inspection of the hardware, but hours later modified the order, noting that the machines at the heart of the request are in the possession of county election officials.

The U.S. district judge, Timothy Batten, began another order late in the evening to say officials are temporarily restrained from passing the alteration, destruction, or erasure of software or data from Dominion machines in three Georgia counties — Cobb, Gwinnett, and Cherokee.

Georgia now certified the election results on Nov. 20 after an initial recount conducted by hand showed Biden obtaining the state's 16 Electoral College votes by about 13,000 votes. The Electoral College meets in mid-December.

The candidate-requested recount follows the election day polls and a pre-certification hand audit of ballots. Still, the Trump campaign ordered this particular recount also include signature matching - something not permitted under existing Georgia law.

All 159 Georgia counties are ordered to complete the recount by Dec. 2.
