This past summer, Carson and Mike Lindell, a Minnesota-based businessman known for his MyPillow commercials, pressured Trump to urge the Food and Drug Administration to allow the plant as a COVID treatment.

Carson said he has basic conditions, which he did not name, "and after a brief period when I only experienced minor discomfort, the symptoms accelerated and I became desperately ill."
Carson said Trump was aware of his state and "cleared me for the monoclonal antibody therapy that he had previously received, which I am convinced saved my life."

The White House refused to talk Saturday, instead citing questions about potential intrusion into Carson's medical care by Trump to the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
HUD also refused to comment.
"I do believe I am out of the woods at this point," said the secretary, who credited Trump, the White House medical team, and doctors at the Walter Reed military hospital.

The remedies imitate antibodies that the immune system naturally creates to fight off viruses and other pathogens.
Trump later recognized the experimental drug therapy with helping his healing.
Carson said he took Oleander 4X, but there's no proof that the treatment or any other homeopathic remedy works against COVID-19.

Trump returned to the White House on Monday October 5 after spending three days hospitalized at Walter Reed Military Medical Center in Maryland for coronavirus.
The monoclonal antibody cocktail is regarded as experimental because clinical trials are ongoing and it hasn’t been confirmed for the market by the FDA.
Trump was able to receive it through the FDA’s "compassionate use" plan, where unapproved drugs are given to seriously ill patients who have no other treatment alternatives.
