Escalation: Iran Is Going Out Of Their Way To Get Trump To Order A Bombing Raid On Them

Iran has fired up advanced uranium centrifuges installed at its underground Natanz site a day after it appeared President Trump asked for choices on striking the facility.

Tehran is fueling the high-tech IR-2m machines at Natanz, in violation of an international agreement to only use first-generation IR-1 machines.

Trump had an Oval Office conference last week where he was 'talked out of' launching strikes on Iran after a former UN report revealed a massive rise in nuclear stockpiles in breach of the Obama-era pact which Trump abandoned in 2018.

Defense sources explained that Trump asked for options on an attack - possibly to have targeted Iran's foremost nuclear facility, Natanz.

According to an article published last week, an interlinked cluster of IR-2ms had been moved underground into Natanz. But significantly, that report stated no fuel had yet been added.

The report explains that uranium hexafluoride (UF6) gas, the fuel which activates the centrifuges, is now being pumped into those banned IR-2ms.

The IAEA's latest report to member states says: 'On 14 November 2020, the Agency confirmed that Iran started feeding UF6 into the newly installed cascade of 174 IR-2m centrifuges at the Fuel Enrichment Plant (FEP) in Natanz.'

Iran's flaunting violation of the nuclear deal could ignite tensions within the White House over whether an attack on Iran is justified.

Tehran yesterday responded furiously to the idea that the US president was even just thinking about an attack on its soil.

Ali Rabiei, an Iranian government spokesman, threatened that 'any action against the Iranian nation would certainly face a crushing response.'

In a further stimulus today, Iran announced it will 'automatically' return to its promises under the 2018 deal if Joe Biden lifts sanctions imposed over the past two years.

Tehran's restoration to its pledges 'can be done automatically and needs no conditions or even negotiations,' Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif explained in comments written in the media on Wednesday.

Zarif claimed that 'America is obligated to implement Resolution 2231 as a member of the United Nations and its Security Council,' leading to the UNSC resolution that enshrined the 2015 nuclear deal.

'If it does carry out this resolution and sanctions are lifted and there are no obstacles to Iran's economic activities, then Iran will carry out' its obligations under the deal, he said.

Iran, which denies it is attempting to make a nuclear bomb, has since May 2019 gradually suspended most of its key responsibilities under the deal.

It claimed it was responding to the sanctions and the inability of the other parties - Britain, China, France, Germany and Russia - to supply Tehran with the deal's guaranteed economic benefits.
