The incoming Biden administration is firm about its powers to undo many of Trump’s signature immigration policies because several were created through administrative procedures, one source familiar with the preparations said.
“All that stuff was done administratively through the [president’s] executive authority, and so a new executive can basically reject those and start from scratch,” the source said.
Biden is targeting several immediate reforms, including abolishing Trump’s ban on immigration from 13 major Muslim and African nations.
Trump had issued an executive order that banned foreign nationals from seven countries — Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen — from visiting the United States. In January, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Nigeria and Tanzania were added to that list.

The Supreme Court sustained the ban in June 2018, denying arguments that it was inspired by prejudice against Muslims or went beyond his authority.
In a July interview, Biden promised to end the Trump administration’s travel ban on his first day in office, saying: “If I have the honor of being president, I will end the Muslim ban on day one, day one.”

It’s expected that Biden will also completely return protection for “Dreamer” immigrants and stop attempts to end it.
The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program created under the Obama administration offered immunity to 640,000 unregistered immigrants who were transported to the United States as children.

Trump called DACA “unconstitutional” and has tried to end the program with a Supreme Court trial that was denied in June.
It was also reported that Biden is weighing a 100-day freeze on evictions as his administration reviews direction on who can be detained by immigration authorities and will form a unit to help locate hundreds of parents who were separated from their children at the border.

A report last month found that the parents of 545 children could not be found following a Trump administration policy that separated more than 1,500 children from their parents at the Mexican border between 2017 and 2018. This month, the figure was raised to 666 children.

His administration would also undo a deal that sent asylum seekers rejected by the US to El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala, but would continue a program which forces non-Mexican asylum seekers to wait in Mexico while their claim is processed.

However, President Donald Trump had not made those decisions light-headedly. The slogan he goes by is: "Make America Great Again", and it is very difficult if America is not itself at all, with not many Americans in it compared to immigrants.
