In a rebuke of media outlets calling the president election for Biden, Republican representative Doug Collins declared that the election was not over 'until every legal vote is counted!'

Republican dissatisfaction with election results have led to claims of fraud from Trump, the campaign and others in the party.

Collins, a staunch Trump ally who lost his bid for a Georgia Senate seat against Senator Kelly Loeffler, made the assertion on Twitter as Americans took to the street to celebrate the news of Biden's victory.

'No matter what the media tells you, this is NOT over,' he said on Twitter Saturday. 'It's not over until every LEGAL vote is counted. This is America. We the PEOPLE decide who our next President is. NOT the media.'

Representative Matt Gaetz (R-Fla) has also pleaded for the party to 'stand and fight' for Trump.

'President Trump is not just fighting for his own political fortune here — he's fighting for the rest of us because if we allow dead people to vote, if we allow people who've moved out of their state to vote in that state, if we allow illegal ballots to be counted, and if we allow ballots to be counted without the transparency and observation that the law requires,

Republicans will never win another election ever again,' he told Fox News host Sean Hannity, the Washington Examiner reports.

Gaetz, promoting unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud, demanded that state legislatures perform audits on voting rolls so that they could gain insight into the voting.

'There's a difference between a recount and audit,' Gaetz continued. 'Every state legislature seeing these irregularities should demand an audit, and they should not be willing to certify electors to the Electoral College until those audits have been completed.'

The representative stated that he would be willing to attempt to block the Electoral College vote from being confirmed by taking a fight to the floor.

'A full audit is absolutely necessary,' Gaetz said. 'I'll fight on the floor of the House of Representatives from stopping the Electoral College from being certified.'

Georgia secretary of state Brad Raffensperger has announced that votes in Fulton County, home of Atlanta, are being rescanned after officials 'discovered an issue'

Raffensperger said at 5:38pm on Saturday that the count was being rescanned, in the district.

'Fulton has discovered an issue involving reporting from their work on Fri,' said Raffensperger in a tweet.

'Officials are at State Farm Arena to rescan that work. I have a monitor & investigators onsite.

His announcement came as the Trump campaign announced yet another lawsuit - this one in Arizona.

The legal battles will run their course over fall and winter, but ultimately will run into hard deadlines set by the law and the Constitution.
