New Jersey Councilman Faces MAJOR Criminal Charges

Councilman Malik Johnston is facing charges for allegedly selling meth and cocaine to an undercover cop.

The Office of Hunterdon County Prosecutor made the announcement Friday. According to The Blaze, “‘On various occasions between December 2022 and February 2023 in Raritan Township, Mr. Johnston sold quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine to an undercover police officer,’ the statement says.”

The 46-year-old Democrat is already facing charges. Johnston is being charged with second-degree distribution of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine with an intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine to distribute, and second-degree distribution of cocaine.

After he sold drugs to undercover police officers, a joint investigation by the Flemington Borough Police Department and Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s Narcotics Task Force led to the discovery of more narcotics that the councilman intended to distribute as well.

Prosecutor Renee Robeson credits the two agencies for working together to conduct an incredible investigation. According to Insider NJ, she said, “The joint investigation demonstrates the expertise and professionalism of Hunterdon County’s law enforcement community. Illegal drug manufacture and distribution continue to pose a significant threat to public health and safety, which will be detected and prosecuted according to law.”

After campaigning on his background, which included going to a park and seeing needles on the ground, it’s shocking to see these charges come to light. This Democrat says he wants to help make a change when engaging in the same activities he campaigns against.

According to Insider NJ, “ the councilman told TapInto in 2020 that when he went out to play,’ there were broken needles on our playgrounds. At one point, I lived in a homeless shelter. That was the point in my life where I saw that my contribution to society could transform it for others.’”The hypocrisy in the Democrat party never seems to stop.

Second-degree charges can carry a sentence of 5-10 years if found guilty. The guilty verdict can also involve a hefty fine per charge. For now, this corrupt councilman is sitting in Warren County Correctional Center. He has yet to make his first appearance in court.
