After the successful recall of San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin, author Matt Palumbo joined Fox News’ Dan Bongino on Sunday to discuss far-Left billionaire George Soros backing soft-on-crime prosecutors.

Palumbo, who is the author of The Man Behind the Curtain: Inside the Secret Network of George Soros, said that Soros, who has always taken a strong interest in American politics, has seen the most remarkable success through funding Progressive candidates in local races.

“He’s been interested in our presidential elections where he spends hundreds of billions of dollars. But his real success has been in these local races where, you know, $100 million in a presidential election might not move the needle that much but spending two or three hundred grand in a local DA race, where not much money is being spent, will have an impact,” Palumbo explained to Bongino.

“It also gives him much more direct control over people. When the DA is in charge of an area, they have choices over sentencing decisions, what kind of crimes are getting enforced, all sorts of things that pertain to law and order,” Palumbo said. “You don’t need to go through any legislative process. You just pick up...and they pretty much do his bidding for him.”

Quoting a report from Daily Mail journalist Harriet Alexander, Bongino declared that “George Soros-backed groups have spent $40 million to elect 75 Progressive prosecutors over the last decade – meaning one in five Americans now live in areas covered by his criminal justice reformers.”

On the result of these soft-on-crime Progressive DA’s getting elected, Palumbo announced that violent crime tends to skyrocket. He explained that when the District Attorneys get elected into office, one of the first tasks they complete is firing current prosecutors with decades of experience and replacing them with like-minded friends.

“They’ll staff our offices with people who really have no idea what they’re doing, and then they stop enforcing a lot of quality-of-life offenses. They’re under sort of this delusion that if it’s not a violent crime, it doesn’t count,” Palumbo explained to Bongino. “But then on violent crime, too. In most of these cities, you see a near doubling of violent crime and also the murder rate.”

Besides being a bestselling author, Matt Palumbo is also the editor of “The Bongino Report.”

Meanwhile, Congressional candidate George Santos, R-N.Y., feels it’s “reprehensible” that a group partially bankrolled by liberal billionaire George Soros is supposed to purchase 18 Hispanic radio stations across 10 different markets across the United States.

Santos believes Soros is trying to guarantee Latinos vote for Democrats by silencing conservative thought, yet he’s not so certain the costly strategy will pay off.

“Latinos are going to continue to flee the Democratic Party for one reason and one reason only – common sense,” Santos explained to Fox News Digital. “They need to feed their kids. They need to give their kids formula. They need to pay for gas. They need to pay for rent. They need to go buy groceries.”
