Former President Donald Trump said if he could change one thing about his job as President, he would listen less to the media.

While Fox News host Sean Hannity admitted Wednesday night that Trump was not ready to reveal whether he would run for President again, Hannity asked the former President what he would do differently if given a second term.

“One of the things I would do differently,” Trump answered, “I found the media is so corrupt that I would really not focus on them almost at all. I’d just focus on getting the job done for the American people.”

Trump told Hannity there would be plenty of work to fix America's economy, secure the southern border, and strengthen its global presence. He said those topics should get his attention, not the “fake news” media.

“They are unbelievably dishonest, hence the name ‘fake news,’" Trump said. “I think, really, I’d focus on getting the job done, getting our country back. Our country has never been in a worse position than it is right now. We’re disrespected all over the world. We no longer have respect. I would really be focused on that, just bring our country back and getting it back to where we had it.”

Trump also slammed NATO for failing to prevent the horrors Russia is accused of committing in Ukraine rather than speaking out against President Vladimir Putin.

Trump, whose association with Russia as President was long debatable, has been slammed in recent weeks for not denouncing the Russian President amid the war in Ukraine, as well as calling him “genius" and “savvy" for his tactics preparing the invasion in late February. Trump later explained his remarks and added that he thinks the current government is dumb for not addressing Russia’s subject more severely.

Hannity asked whether the apparent war crimes being committed by Russia during the conflict, including murdering civilians and targeting schools and hospitals, were “evil in our time.”

In response, Trump, who earlier told Hannity that what was occurring in Ukraine amounted to a “holocaust,” appeared to swerve the question about Russia’s “evil” acts and instead attempted to claim responsibility for the continuation of NATO. Russia has denied atrocities.

Trump also did not speak out against Putin, a man he states he “knows well,” while once again claiming the invasion would not have taken place if he was still President.

“I think in 100 years people are gonna look back and they’re gonna say, how did we stand back and NATO stand back, which in many ways I’ve called the paper tiger,” Trump said.

“Don’t forget, I rebuilt NATO because when I became President, the first thing I noticed when I went there to the first meeting, was that most of the countries were not paying, or were paying far less than they were supposed to. There were only eight out of 28 countries that were paid in full.”
