In a recent development, former President Donald Trump unveiled a new advertisement for his presidential campaign on Truth Social, his social media platform.

The ad, composed entirely of edited news footage, lauds the patriotic students who stood up against anti-Israel sentiments, seemingly aligning them with his political cause.

The video footage prominently features a group of students from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. These students gained recognition for their staunch defense of the American flag on their campus against protestors. Their actions sparked a GoFundMe campaign aimed at hosting a celebratory event, which has amassed over $500,000. Notably, hedge fund billionaire Bill Ackman contributed $10,000 to the cause.

The video commences with the statement, "While campuses struggle to get control of their students, at UNC Chapel Hill, they are bringing order back." It goes on to highlight the students' resilience, despite being subjected to physical attacks such as being hit with bottles and rocks.

Matthew Foldi, a prominent figure in Washington D.C., is quoted in the ad saying, "I think the most popular college students right now are the ones at UNC."

However, the ad also includes contentious footage from the University of Mississippi. One student was captured on film seemingly making monkey noises and gestures in an attempt to ridicule a black protestor. This inclusion has sparked controversy and debate.
