According to a new poll, most of the public believes COVID-19 is no longer a “crisis.” Thirty-seven percent have even returned to their “pre-covid” routines. The Axios-Ipsos survey revealed that the majority see the virus as “a problem, but manageable,” with 73% of respondents saying so.

A mere 9% said the Coronavirus is "a serious crisis.” Sixteen percent of Democrats echoed the sentiment, compared to only 3% of Republicans. Seventeen percent of respondents said the virus is “not a problem at all,” including 31% of Republicans but only 3% of Democrats.

Despite the non-crisis determination, 51% of respondents still support school districts imposing mask mandates. Only 22% confirm their employers still require that they mask up at work.

According to the poll, two-thirds have reported going out to eat and visiting friends or relatives in the past week. Just 36% of businesses require proof of vaccination, whereas the number stood at 51% in February. The survey was conducted between April 8 and 11 with 1,043 respondents 18 or older.

This week, Fox News host Tucker Carlson revealed that he had not received any COVID-19 vaccinations. “I skipped the first three. I’m not getting that one either,” Carlson told the lead pastor of San Diego’s Awaken megachurch, Jurgen Matthesius.

“I look at these people, like, this just does not make sense at all,” he continued. “And I have no idea what’s up here, but whatever you’re telling me, it’s just not true.”

The top-rated cable news personality told the lead pastor of San Diego’s Awaken megachurch, Jurgen Matthesius, that he would not be getting any COVID-19 vaccinations after being asked about the fourth dose. Carlson noted that he is not against vaccinations in general but could not understand or support the COVID-19 vaccine.

Carlson, raised in the San Diego suburb of La Jolla, has been a major critic of President Joe Biden’s administration and its crackdown on federal masks and vaccine mandates. Before his appearance in San Diego, Carlson dodged questions about his vaccination status and chastised those who asked. Last year, Carlson compared asking people about their vaccination status to asking if they had HIV.

Last year, the network encouraged employees to disclose their vaccination status in a program called "Fox Clear Pass," which allowed employees to work in the office without a mask if they were fully vaccinated.
