In a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Rogan, joined by comedian Tim Dillon, took aim at CNN, criticizing the network for its perceived bias and lack of understanding regarding the podcasting industry.

Dillon recounted his experience being interviewed by CNN, describing it as an enlightening encounter that offered him insights into the workings of mainstream media.

According to Fox News, Dillon shared that during the interview, the CNN interviewer expressed surprise at his willingness to participate. "She goes, ‘I can’t believe you would show up. People have said that they can’t come on because Joe Rogan would get mad at them’ and I said, ‘That’s absolutely ridiculous.’ I said ‘He doesn’t care, he would never care,'" Dillon recounted.

This exchange highlights the network's apparent misconception about the influence and dynamics of the podcasting world, particularly in the context of the 2024 presidential campaign, where podcasts played a significant role in President Donald Trump's election.

Rogan, perplexed by CNN's portrayal of him, dismissed the notion that he is at odds with the network. "That’s so silly," he remarked, adding, "They think we’re at war." Rather than being an adversary, Rogan expressed a desire for CNN to improve its journalistic standards. "I hope CNN corrects course and does real news, and just concentrates on the news," he stated. Rogan criticized the network for its editorial slant, particularly targeting figures like Don Lemon for pushing opinions rather than objective reporting. "I don't want editorial comments from morons," he said, criticizing the network's approach to issues such as vaccination.

Rogan also addressed CNN's declining viewership, attributing it to the network's failure to maintain journalistic integrity. "Of course your ratings plummeted," he noted, pointing to instances where CNN allegedly disseminated false information without issuing corrections.

Dillon further accused CNN of being aligned with the Democratic Party, a sentiment Rogan echoed, questioning whether this alignment is by choice or compulsion. "Whether they are forced to be, or whether they choose to be because they identify with being Democrat, and they want to skew things completely towards the left, I don’t know, I don’t know what the answer to that is," Rogan commented.

Despite his criticisms, Rogan expressed a willingness to support CNN if it were to improve. "I want them to do well, I really don’t care. They obviously don’t want me to do well, but I don’t care," he said, reminiscing about the network's past quality programming.

"If they turned it around and CNN became great, I’d watch it all the time. It used to be great, it used to have ‘Parts Unknown' on it." Rogan's remarks underscore a broader conservative critique of mainstream media, advocating for a return to unbiased and factual reporting.
