Brittany Fortinberry, aged 31 and hailing from Martinsville, is accused of orchestrating group sexual encounters with multiple teenage victims, reportedly after providing them with narcotics. Prosecutors have revealed that during these encounters, she compelled the young boys to don "Ghostface" masks, reminiscent of those from the Scream film series.
Fortinberry, who once taught at Eminence High School, was apprehended in February and is currently held at the Morgan County Jail with bail set at $150,000. According to News 8, authorities have identified at least five minor victims, some as young as 13 years old.

As reported by The Post Millennial, the investigation into Fortinberry's actions commenced in August 2024. This was triggered by two students, both serving as teaching assistants, who alerted school officials to sexually explicit messages allegedly sent by Fortinberry via Instagram's "vanish" mode. These communications purportedly included provocative images of Fortinberry, alongside videos showcasing her sex toys and a stripper pole.

A subsequent police search of her residence uncovered a stripper pole and various sex toys stored in drawers. Fortinberry, when questioned, claimed she had no recollection of sending the messages to her former students, suggesting they might have been sent inadvertently. She also asserted that the stripper pole was intended for exercise purposes.

Following these revelations, Fortinberry was suspended and subsequently resigned from her teaching position on August 23. This came after school personnel reported her to the Indiana Department of Child Services and law enforcement. By November, prosecutors had charged her with two felony counts of disseminating harmful material to minors and two misdemeanor counts of harassment via electronic means.
In December 2024, a new allegation surfaced when a woman reported to police that her grandson, a minor, had been molested by Fortinberry on multiple occasions starting in October 2023. This led to Fortinberry's arrest in February.
Since then, five additional alleged victims have emerged, including a 14-year-old who claimed Fortinberry lavished him and other minors with dinners, costly gifts, marijuana, vapes, and THC cartridges in return for sexual favors. This victim also alleged that Fortinberry sent him nude photographs through Snapchat.

Prosecutors have documented that Fortinberry purportedly provided the teenagers with capsules containing psychedelic mushrooms before engaging in sexual activities. One victim recounted to police that Fortinberry coerced him and two friends into sexual acts while wearing the "Ghostface" masks.

Court records indicate that the teen's last encounter with Fortinberry occurred shortly after his 14th birthday, during which she allegedly drugged and assaulted him at her residence.
Fortinberry is now facing a comprehensive list of charges, including child molestation, dissemination of harmful material to minors, and contributing to juvenile delinquency. Her trial is slated for June 25, and if convicted, she could face a maximum sentence of 262 years in prison.
