In a recent appearance on Fox News, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt fiercely criticized Democrats for their opposition to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

She accused them of being "completely out of touch" with the desires of the American electorate.

According to the Daily Caller, Democrats have intensified their resistance against DOGE and its association with Elon Musk. Throughout the week of February 3, they expressed their disapproval of the department's efforts to address Musk's involvement in the Trump administration and what they perceive as government wastage. In an interview on "Hannity," host Sean Hannity asked Leavitt to respond to the outcry from Democrats such as California Representative Maxine Waters and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren over Musk's role.

Leavitt responded, "I would love to, Sean. Clearly the Democrats learned nothing from their devastating defeat on November 5 because this is exactly what the American people voted for. President Trump campaigned alongside Elon Musk, and President Trump promised voters on the campaign that he was going to make our government more efficient."

She continued, "He came up with the idea of DOGE, and he told everybody in the world he would be appointing Elon Musk to cut through the waste, fraud and abuse that has plagued our federal government for far too long and has ripped off hard-working taxpayers." Leavitt emphasized that Musk's actions were in line with Trump's directives, and the real surprise was the extent of the uncovered waste, fraud, and abuse.

During a space discussion, Musk revealed that he and President Trump had plans to overhaul the U.S. Agency for International Development, transferring its leadership to Secretary of State Marco Rubio. This decision followed reports of billions of taxpayer dollars being squandered by the agency on international programs, some of which were accused of promoting left-wing social engineering abroad.

Despite Democrats labeling the move as illegal and staging protests outside the Department of Treasury building on February 3, Leavitt remained steadfast in her defense. She cited public polling data, stating, "56% of the public supports President Trump’s freeze on foreign aid. The most recent CBS poll shows that the vast majority of Americans support what President Trump is doing."

Leavitt further criticized the Democrats for their street protests, describing them as "deranged." She affirmed the administration's commitment to scrutinizing federal spending and focusing on advancing America's interests. She dismissed any contrary views as fear mongering by the left due to their lack of a substantial message.

A recent CBS News poll provided further support for the Trump administration, revealing Trump's highest approval rating yet at 53%. The poll also indicated that 70% of Americans believe Trump is fulfilling his campaign promises.

Additionally, 49% of respondents felt the president was exceeding their expectations, 41% believed he was meeting their expectations, and a mere 9% thought he was underperforming in his first few weeks in office. These figures underscore the disconnect between the Democrats' outcry and the public's perception of the Trump administration's performance.
